Foreship Ltd.has published its shipowner’s guide to the Carbon Intensity Indicator (CII), to assist with compliance with the International Maritime Organization’s rating scheme.
As a key part of the IMO's new regulatory framework covering CO2 emissions from existing ships, the CII provides a rating for operational efficiency and will apply to all cargo, RoPax and cruise vessels above 5000GT and trading internationally from 2023.
