PROJECT MANAGER – FORT LAUDERDALE, FL

As Project Manager at Foreship LLC, you will lead various types of projects including feasibility studies, conversions, basic design engineering, and technical project management.  You will be responsible for driving projects to success, fostering positive customer relationships, and contributing to a strong team culture on the East Coast.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage engineering conversion projects and teams in multidiscipline environment according to customer’s requirements.
  • Serve as the main point of contact with the customer.
  • Drive projects to success by managing budget, resources, schedule and taking a solution-oriented approach to solving problems.
  • Communicate and liaise with different Classification Societies and with equipment suppliers and makers.
  • Produce technical drawings, calculations and specifications.
  • Schedule and manage regular team meetings as needed (internally & externally).
  • Monitor project KPIs and take corrective action as needed.
  • Provide project reports to stakeholders.
  • Assess and manage risks associated with the project.
  • Gather and distribute source material, project questions, and other project info.
  • Track and deliver drawings to customer.
  • Provide on-site support as needed, often in a shipyard/dry dock environment.
  • Lead business development with opportunity identification and proposal development.
  • Establish and manage new and existing clients.

EXPERIENCE:

  • B.Sc and/or M.Sc. in Naval Architecture, Marine Engineering, or similar field
  • +3 years’ experience working with naval architecture design, marine engineering, passenger vessels, and/or shipyards.
  • Experience managing projects and schedules.
  • Knowledge and familiarity of working with regulatory bodies, such as Classification Societies, Flag State and USCG.
  • Experience building customer relationships, working closely with clients, equipment suppliers and manufacturers.
  • Excellent computer skills (Office 365 Platform).
