OPERATIONS MANAGER, SEATTLE

JOB PROFILE:

Identify new opportunities, strategize, and establish new business relationships on the West Coast of the US and Canada
Contribute to the growth and strategy of US Operations
Further develop existing business relationships
Manage and develop an environment that fosters growth
Lead and manage the day-to-day operations of our Seattle office
Operations Manager reports to the President of Foreship LLC

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

B.Sc. in Naval Architecture, Marine Engineering, or other relevant disciplines
+6 years’ experience collaborating with naval architects and marine engineers on passenger vessels and in shipyards
Experience serving as the main point of contact for customers 
Experience successfully managing projects, including budgets, and schedules, with multiple vendors
Ability to develop creative solutions to exceed customer needs
Working knowledge of SOLAS, Marine Classification Societies, and other relevant rule sets
Strong computer skills (MS Office and AutoCAD)
Ability to work from Foreship’s Seattle Office at least three days a week
Ability to work within the US and travel abroad as needed
Ability to support projects onboard, in dry dock, and in shipyard environments

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:

+7 years’ experience collaborating with naval architects and marine engineers on passenger vessels and in shipyards

+6 years’ experience contributing to cruise ship, ferry, or other passenger vessel refurbishment projects
+5 years’ experience managing an engineering team
M.Sc. in Naval Architecture or Marine Engineering and Business Administration
PMP Project Management Certification or similar

Good communication skills, fluent in English, both oral and written
Ability to develop and maintain strong relationships
